The First Bar That Doesn't Punish Dry Skin

Most bars clean by stripping. Manuka honey pulls moisture in while it cleans.

Three rectangular honey-colored soap bars labeled 'honey' are stacked on a textured light surface with a wooden honey dipper and a piece of honeycomb nearby. On the right side, two inset photos show smiling women with the text 'WITH REGULAR USE' over them, suggesting a lifestyle or usage-result context.

Manuka Honey: Cleanses Without Stripping

Stylised cross-section comparing dull dehydrated skin scattered with surface dirt on the left with an amber honey layer lifting those impurities away and drawing water down into the skin on the right
  1. Impurities + Dryness

    unprotected, moisture-starved

  2. Cleansing + Humectant Action

    lifts impurities, holds moisture in

Manuka honey is what sets this bar apart from an ordinary honey soap. Its methylglyoxal (MGO) content is the compound that gives manuka its distinctive character, and it's the reason a genuine manuka bar costs more to make than a scented one.

Honey is also a natural humectant — its molecular structure draws moisture from the air and holds it against the skin, rather than sitting on top of it briefly and evaporating.

That combination means this bar does two things at once: it lifts away the day's dirt and oil, and it leaves moisture behind — so skin finishes soft and comfortable rather than clean but tight.

Why Most Bar Soaps Don't Work

Most bars on the shelf aren't soap at all. They're detergent bars — built to lather hard and smell strong, which is a very different job from leaving your skin better than it found it.

They often:

  • ❌ Use sulfates that strip your skin's natural oils
  • ❌ Lean on synthetic fragrance rather than real botanicals
  • ❌ Rely on palm oil and cheap filler bases
  • ❌ Leave skin tight and squeaky, which reads as "clean" but isn't
  • ❌ Trigger the rebound oil that starts the cycle again tomorrow

So you moisturise to undo what you just washed off — and the bar that caused it is still in the shower.

Manuka Honey Soap works differently.

Manuka honey is a humectant — it draws moisture toward the skin and holds it there while you wash. That is the opposite of what a detergent bar does. Combined with shea butter and saponified plant oils, it cleanses while leaving dry, tired skin softer than it started. Handmade in small batches in Australia, palm oil free, with no SLS, parabens or artificial fragrance.

Why we made this

We had hair care. We had facial care. The soaps came next to finish the range — the same standard applied to the rest of you.

They're palm oil-free and made from organic raw materials. That isn't a marketing line; it's the reason they cost what they do, and the reason we make them in small batches rather than order them in.

We have answers!

Questions?

Will this dry out my skin?

No. Our bar soaps are formulated without SLS or harsh sulfates. Each bar is enriched with skin-nourishing botanicals that cleanse without over-drying.

What makes these different from supermarket soap?

Most supermarket soaps are detergent bars made with synthetic agents. Tasic Pure Oils bars are handcrafted in small batches using plant-based ingredients, with organic raw materials wherever we can source them. No fillers, no nasties.

Will this help with dull or uneven skin?

Each bar is made with active plant botanicals that cleanse gently, helping skin look clearer and more even over time.

Are these suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. All four bars are free from SLS, parabens, and synthetic fragrance. Patch test before full use if you have known sensitivities.

Why switch to a plant-based bar now?

Your skin absorbs what you put on it every day. Switching to a clean, plant-based bar is one of the simplest swaps you can make.
